God has been sooooo faithful. Even through my sometimes shaky relationship with Him. He has pulled me right out of the valley of the “shadow of death.” Even when it seems I was down and out, my God remains faithful to the promise that “He who has begun a good work in me shall continue it even to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Though the devil desires to sift me as wheat, Christ has already prayed for me. I hold to His prayer in John 17. Thank you my Savior for praying for me even before I was conceived in my mothers womb, you knew and cared and loved me. Thank you for creating us even though you knew what would happen, and thank you for loving us despite our brazen rebellion against your Word.
After having just bawled my eyes out to the movie called “Keith” in which Jesse McCartney was the lead I absolutely could not help but think about this quote at the closing scene of the movie…”I chose the path less traveled by.” I then could not get the image of Christ out of my head and how He definitely chose the path less traveled by in that He was about His Father’s business and never sinned once. He would repeatedly go afar off, on the mountain, in a separate place, in the desert, etc for quality time in prayer with the Father. And I must say I desire to follow this example. He chose the “narrow path” that “few find.” I want to remain on this discovered narrow path so I may see and dwell and serve my God and Father for all of eternity. By the will of God, this will assuredly happen. I have faith that it will, for the “just shall live by faith.”
I therefore end with this verse…”For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.” Psalm 84:10
I am here!!!!!!!!!!!Thanks be to God! Seoul has been amazing so far! The food the cultral places and the people are soooo kind and respectful <3 I am at home indeed with this nation.
So I got my visa issuance number from South Korea yesterday!!!!!!!! Yay!!!! Now all I have to do is get home in time (August 9th) for them to stamp the visa into my passport, make a photocopy and email that to Citrina (my human resource contact, and sister in Christ, in S. Korea). Once she has that photocopy my plane ticket to S. Korea shall be purchased and again God willing I will be on a plane jetting off to Korea on August 19th. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAhhhhh so many new beginnings! I have met so many amaaazing people in my travels so far and I hope to continue to be taught by and to teach as many as come into my life. There’s a quote I had the fortune of hearing…”treat everyone you meet as a teacher” - Eat, Pray, Love…didnt watch the movie just happened to be in the room next door to the living room when my host mom was watching with this other amazzing person I had the opportunity of meeting named Brooke. I have learrrrned sooo much! Wow who IS such a Great God as our God?! He is the ONLY One that has given me these experiences and I will forever be greatful to Him for this! :) <3
My documents have successfully arrived in South Korea. God is truly working on overtime to ensure that I make the August 20th cycle of Missionaries. YAAAY! I am currently in Treviso, Italia enjoying this amazing summer. With GYC (Generation of Youth for Christ) Europe in Linz, Austria literally almost a week away, this truly is an extremely exciting time for me. I went to the one in Houston, Texas this past December and just know that the Lord sees it fit for me to revive and really learn a lot more before I go to the battlefield for Him in South Korea. God has plans for me and all I have to do is sit back, have faith, and keep His commandments. The rest God works out! I literally cannot express with mere words how grateful I am to my Heavenly Father and if I could just but get rid of these worldly things and live completely by Him I would be eternally Happy. This is my humble prayer Lord God, search out my heart and if there be iniquity purge, in your time, which is the best time, away all my dross and refine me. All so that when You appear in the clouds and in Your Glory I may be able to stand and say with strength and faith, “This is our God, we have waited for Him and He will save us”, Amen. Thank you Father
P.S. GYC Europe in Linz, Austria takes place July 20, 2012 - July 24, 2012 :)
